Glory and worship

February 23, 2012

In honor of Handel’s birthday—and this blogger’s own—we post a recording of “Glory and worship are before him,” from the anthem I will magnify thee, HWV 250B. It is sung splendidly by the Choir of HM Chapel Royal, just as the old man would have wanted.

You never can have too much Handel.

Glory and worship are before him : power and honor are in his sanctuary. (Ps. 96:6)

That was a well-timed treat as I returned from lunch and prepared to finish Sunday’s sermon. Thank you.
