All Saints’ Day, 2010

The article, linked below, honors the work of stained-glass artist Michael Lassen in the days following his untimely death this year. It’s worth remembering that the saints of the Church aren’t necessarily those who spouted complicated concepts of the faith from every orifice, or stood at the altar in an orans, or pranced about in a mitre.  The saints are sinners and lovers and artists and handiworkers, people who were merely doing their daily duty to love our Church in the best ways they knew how.
