Evensong
December 13, 2007
I wanted to post a sermon, by Andrew Mead, the Rector of St Thomas Church in New York, about the virtues of Evensong in the present day. Many young Episcopalians and many recent converts have never experienced anything other than a Rite II Communion service (other than as an aside in Lent), which is shameful, especially when one thinks of how much Anglican identity is connected with the Daily Office.
Dr. Mead is both articulate and – notably – gracious.
